Photography Workshop – for the benefit of DVSN (Domestic Violence Services Network)

September 14th & 21st – 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM via Zoom


This is a 2-part workshop designed for beginner and intermediate photographers who would take photographs with DLSR or mirrorless cameras that have manual exposure capability.  The first session is all about understanding how to use your camera.  The second session is about “Seeing Like a Photographer” and composition.  

In this 2-session series, you will learn about many of the key elements necessary to take better photographs, on purpose.  Topics to be discussed include:

  • Understanding Your Camera
  • Understanding Exposure and why it is important to know how to shoot in manual exposure mode
  • Focusing and Depth of Field
  • How to “See Like a Photographer”
  • The elements of visual design and composition

Nick DePasquale is a professional photographer and photography instructor located in Tyngsborough, MA.  He teaches photography classes, conducts workshops and photo walks, and tutors beginner to advanced photographers.  Nick exhibits photographs from his travels around the world for the benefit of many not-for-profit organizations, and volunteers his time photographing many fundraising events throughout the year.  Photography is a lifelong passion for Nick, and a continuing journey.  He has worked for a weekly newspaper, motorcycle racing magazine, and as a wedding, event and sports photographer.   His photographs have been published in local newspapers, on various websites, marketing brochures, and for local musicians.
